Meet 30 inspiring women as part of CBC Ottawa's digital conversation series In Her Words

On March, CBC Ottawa launched In Her Words, a digital conversational series connecting celebrating women's achievement and involvement in the capital

This month-long digital storytelling series stems from International Women's Day

CBC Ottawa's digital community conversation series, In Her Words, brought together women to talk, learn, and inspire one another in the spirit of this year's International Women's Day theme #ChooseToChallenge.

In the wake of what's been a defining year for women across the National Capital Region and beyond, these individuals are resetting conversations, rewriting the rules for future generations and sharing a renewed sense of community, compassion and change.

This month-long series introduced us to more than 30 changemakers, community builders, wellness and health experts, advocates, entrepreneurs, mentors, connectors and many more who are helping to shape the conversations about issues impacting women in 2021.

About the artwork behind In Her Words

Created by Ottawa artist and muralist, Emilie Darlington, the vibrant flowers for In Her Words symbolize strength, resilience and adaptability. The flowers are represented in various stages of growth, from a small sprout, to a cracking bud, to full blooms. All of which represent the different stages and diverse journeys women take to achieve their goals.
