CBC Ottawa community cookbook in support of the Ottawa Food Bank

Once a year, CBC Ottawa hosts Project Give, a day of giving in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. This holiday season, as part of our annual charity drive, we asked CBC Ottawa journalists and community partners to share their go-to recipes and the stories behind them.

We put those recipes into a limited edition cookbook that we're calling OUR TABLE because it includes a collection of memories and meals from our table to yours. Chili, pasta, pies or cakes, we all have our favourite comfort foods that bring back memories of time spent around the table with friends and family. While we are not professional cooks, we do like to eat. These recipes have been tried and tested in our homes and we want you to add your twist and make them your very own.

In addition to delicious dishes, the book also has stunning photography from inside Algonquin College's School of Hospitality and Tourism. Chef Cory Haskins, Chef Harsh Singh and their students welcomed us into their kitchens to capture their culinary creations. These mouth-watering photos bring the book to life. 

On Friday, Dec. 14, visit us at the National Arts Centre during our special Project Give programming and get your copy of OUR TABLE for a suggested minimum donation of $40. All proceeds will go to the Ottawa Food Bank.

While quantities last. Donations must be made in person at the NAC on Dec. 14. You must come to pick it up, the cookbook will not be shipped.
