When Ottawa resident Eric Leclair heard the news about the National Capital Commission shutting down a kids' lemonade stand for not having a permit, it brought back some vivid memories.

In 1988, Leclair was an entrepreneurial teen who started up a greenhouse selling plants and vegetables to as many as 400 customers a day.
That is until the NCC stepped in and tried to shut him down.
