Amber Alert ends after 9-month-old found safe
Suspect has been arrested, said Ottawa police
Ottawa police have ended a province-wide Amber Alert for a missing nine-month-old baby after safely locating the child late Friday afternoon.
The infant was believed to have been with her mother in Ottawa's Centretown neighbourhood. A suspect is in custody, police said in a tweet just before 5 p.m.
CBC has removed identifying images and details to protect the privacy of the child.
In its tweet, Ottawa police thanked Gatineau police for helping locate the infant.
An investigation into the child's disappearance is ongoing, said police.
