Woman injured in head-on crash with school bus
Woman sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries
A head-on crash between a school bus and another vehicle sent a woman to hospital Thursday afternoon in Onslow, N.S.
Cpl. Scott MacRae said the school bus had just pulled out of the school around 3:30 p.m. when it was involved in a head-on crash with a woman driving a car.
In early reports, police said the force of the collision threw the woman from her car. MacRae could not confirm if this is the case.
The woman was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said MacRae.
There was one child on the school bus at the time of the crash but neither the driver nor the child was injured, said MacRae.
Police said the school bus serves a few different schools in the area and that the bus was about to drop off its last student of the day when the crash happened.
Onslow Road is down to one lane while police investigate the crash.
