Woman hit by bus in Halifax

A woman was struck by a Metro Transit bus in Halifax as she crossed the street Friday morning, police say.

 A woman was struck by a Metro Transit bus in Halifax as she crossed the street Friday morning, police say.

Paramedics found her under the bus.

She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries, Halifax police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Titus Street and Main Avenue. Police are investigating.
