A 63-year-old woman was killed after her vehicle crashed on the Sunrise Trail in Three Brooks around 9 a.m. Friday morning.

A 63-year-old woman was killed after her vehicle crashed on the Sunrise Trail in Three Brooks around 9 a.m. Friday morning.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The RCMP in Pictou County said she was taken to Aberdeen Hospital where she later died.

It was one of two serious collisions in the region Friday.

Around 5 a.m., police said two vehicles collided on Highway 347 in Greenwood.

A woman from Country Harbour, 64 and a man from Blue Mountain, 34, were sent to Aberdeen Hospital. Police said their injuries are not life-threatening.
