The weekend fire at White Point Beach Resort began in the basement and is not suspicious, fire officials say.

The fire broke out Saturday afternoon and destroyed the main building at the popular resort on Nova Scotia's South Shore. No one was hurt.

RCMP said investigators still don't know the cause of the fire, though they don't believe it was deliberately set.

The resort is closed until further notice. About 100 people are affected by the shutdown.
