Tracadie crash kills 16-year-old driver

A 16-year-old boy has died after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 4 in Tracadie, Antigonish County.

RCMP responded to a crash just after 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The 16-year-old driver died at the scene, and a second male in the same vehicle was taken to St. Martha's Hospital in serious condition.

The name of the driver has not been released.

Another man — the sole occupant of the second vehicle — was also transported to St. Martha's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A section of Highway 4 was closed for several hours on Thursday and traffic was rerouted.
