Tim Hortons thieves make off with cash, donuts
A 27-year-old man and 17-year-old teen face charges after they allegedly made off with some cash and donuts from a Halifax Tim Hortons early Saturday morning.
The RCMP said two masked men entered the coffee shop on Hammond Plains Road and demanded cash.
The employees were not injured and there was no reported weapon.
Police said they think the culprits left in a vehicle.
Later that morning police said they found two people who matched the description of the Tim Hortons robbers trying to steal cars in Bedford.
They arrested them and recovered some cash.
The two suspects, both from Herring Cove, face charges in both the robbery and the attempted car theft.
They remain in custody and will appear in court Monday morning.
