Tim Hortons attempted robbery has Cole Harbour police investigating

Police in Cole Harbour are investigating an attempted robbery at a Tim Hortons Friday night.

Cole Harbour RCMP arrested the suspect at the scene, no one was injured

Police in Cole Harbour are investigating an attempted robbery at a Tim Hortons Friday night.

At around 8:40 p.m., a man entered the restaurant on Main Road, told the cashier he had a knife and demanded money.

Staff alerted police and RCMP members responded to the scene within minutes and arrested the suspect who was still inside the restaurant.

Police say they recovered the knife and there were no reported injuries.

A 15-year-old Sackville male is facing charges of armed robbery and possession of a weapon.

He has been released from police custody and will appear in youth court at a later date.
