St. John's church faces grave concerns in Westphal
St. John's Anglican Church in Westphal has 220 years of history behind it, and for most of that time parishioners thought the church owned the surrounding land.
They were shocked to find out it actually belongs to the Halifax Regional Municipality, but not as shocked as when construction crews showed up as part of the city's Main Street widening project.
Some church members say the digging is getting dangerously close to the historic cemetery and its gravestones.
The CBC's Paul Palmeter reports.
