St. FX support staff reject contract
Antigonish school facing another potential labour dispute
St. Francis Xavier University could be heading towards its second strike of the year.
Monday night, the union that represents cleaners, maintenance workers and tradespeople at St FX University rejected their latest contract offer.
A deal between the union and administration was reached last week.
Angus MacGillivray, the president of the union, said 67 per cent of the union members voted it down.
In January, faculty at the university spent three weeks on strike over wages, benefits and job security.
