A woman and a girl have been arrested after someone reported a bullet came through the floor of their Dartmouth apartment building.

Halifax Regional Police Const. Brian Palmeter said officers got the call at 1:08 p.m. on Wednesday and went to 44 Primrose St.

The woman who reported the shot was not injured. She told police the shot came through her floor from the apartment unit below.

Palmeter said a second unit in the building has been secured while the police get a search warrant.

No charges have been laid.

Wednesday's incident happened at the same apartment building where a 39-year-old woman was killed in late April.

Angela Patricia Hall was taken to a Halifax hospital where she later died of her injuries. Police have not said how she died.
