Sheet Harbour homicide victim identified
Body of Mattew Allan Hebb found in burned cabin
The RCMP have released the name of one of the men killed in a double homicide in Sheet Harbour last week.
The bodies were discovered after witnesses reported seeing a fire at a building that was a cottage or a hunting camp.
The body of Mattew Allan Hebb, 22, was found in the rubble. Hebb lived on Herring Cove Road in Halifax.
A 59-year-old man was also found dead. Police have not realeased his name, but neighbours and friends identified him as Earl Stewart.
Police have not said how the two men died, but believe they were in the area to get Christmas trees.
Police took a man and a woman into custody Tuesday in connection with the double homicide but released them Wednesday morning without charges.
After their release, police continued to call them "subjects of interest."
