Search for missing fisherman suspended

RCMP in Nova Scotia have temporarily called off the search for a missing fisherman because of high winds.

RCMP in Nova Scotia have temporarily called off the search for a missing fisherman because of high winds.

Brent Walton, 33, was in a boat that capsized in Level Spot Lake, in the Upper Lakeville area on the province's eastern shore, on Friday.

RCMP said the 3.6-metre boat had mechanical problems and flipped about 200 metres from shore.

Another man swam to shore and called for help.

RCMP said the search for Walton would continue once the weather improves.
