School bus, car collide in N.S. community

A 30-year-old woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving collided with a school bus near Windsor, N.S., on Monday morning, police say.

A 30-year-old woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving collided with a school bus near Windsor, N.S., on Monday morning, police say.

RCMP Sgt. Brigdit Leger said a 2006 Hyundai collided with the Annapolis Valley Regional School bus that was carrying 15 students aged 10 to 15. 

Neither the bus driver nor the students were injured.

Leger said the bus was stopped at the time of the collision and hit from behind.

Rescuers used the Jaws of Life to remove the woman from the car. She has been transported to hospital in Halifax.
