Public Gardens reopens after shed fire

The Halifax Public Gardens opened its gates to the public at about 2 p.m. Thursday, after being closed for several hours because of a fire.

The Halifax Public Gardens opened its gates to the public at about 2 p.m. Thursday, after being closed for several hours because of a fire.

A tool shed was damaged in a fire just before 5 a.m. There were no reports of injuries.

Halifax Regional Fire investigators and Public Gardens staff asked that visitors respect the barricades and caution tape around the scene of the fire.
