Police seize 18 kg of pot in Cumberland County

A 52-year-old Cumberland County man from faces several drug charges after police say they found 18 kilograms of marijuana in his home.

A 52-year-old Cumberland County man from faces several drug charges after police say they found 18 kilograms of marijuana in his home.

Police used a search warrant to enter Terry Wood's home in Collingwood, N.S., on Friday around 5:50 p.m. They confiscated the marijuana, firearm and ammunition.

Wood has been charged with a number of offences including possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm, uttering threats to peace officers and production of cannabis resin.

He is set to appear in an Amherst provincial court on Monday.
