Police seek help in Dartmouth attempted robbery

Halifax Regional Police officers are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in an attempted bank robbery.

Police said a man went into the TD Canada Trust location at 590 Portland St. on Tuesday afternoon, approached a teller and handed her a note demanding cash.

It happened at around 1:50 p.m.

The man walked out of the bank before the teller could do anything, police said. He was last seen walking towards Portland Street on foot.

No one was injured and the suspect did not get any money from the bank.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing sunglasses and a dark coloured parka with a fur-trimmed hood.
