Halifax Regional Police say one of their officers was assaulted at a hospital Friday morning.
Cop not injured in early morning attack

Halifax Regional Police say one of their officers was assaulted at a hospital Friday morning.
Police went to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre at 7:20 a.m. on an unrelated matter. Once inside the emergency room, a man punched a male officer in the face.
Police subdued the assailant and arrested him. Police expect to lay charges.
The officer was checked out at the hospital, but was not seriously injured.
