Police ask for public's help in sexual assault case
Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public's help investigating a sexual assault that took place last week at the intersection of Robie Street and Quinpool Road.
Last Friday, around 11 a.m., police responded to a report of a sexual assault that had taken place earlier that week.
A 22-year-old woman reported that on August 15 at approximately 5:15 p.m. she was walking in the area of Quinpool Road and Robie Street when she was approached by a man.
The man began speaking to her and then reached out and inappropriately touched her before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as a middle aged white man, slim build, salt and pepper hair, with scruffy salt and pepper facial hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark windbreaker style jacket with a logo on the lapel and a dark-coloured hat with "RCMP" in bold letters.
Anyone with information about the incident, or the man's identity, is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
