The man who drives the ice resurfacing machine at Halifax's skating Oval is so enthusiastic about his job that he sings as he works.

Brooks Carmody's coworkers were so wowed by his big voice they twisted his arm until he agreed to let them film him and post the video to YouTube. You can watch the original video here.

The clip has won him a couple thousand online fans. Carmody can add those to his real-life fans earned as drummer and singer for Nova Scotia's Blue Bay Band.

The CBC's Anjuli Patil caught up with Carmody Monday.
