25 Nova Scotia schools to share $6M for renovations

Projects approved by the province and announced Thursday include: roof repairs; creating barrier-free access; fire safety improvements; replacing boilers, windows and interior work; and creating new classroom space.

Twenty-five schools across the province will get a piece of $6 million for capital improvements.

Projects approved by the province and announced Thursday include: roof repairs; creating barrier-free access; fire safety improvements; replacing boilers, windows and interior work; and creating new classroom space.

The budgets for the projects range between $150,000 and $1 million but costs won't be finalized until tenders are awarded. Work is expected to begin on all projects this fiscal year.
