Mooseheads fans cheer team on into game 2

It was a sell-out crowd at the Halifax Metro Centre Saturday night, and the Mooseheads needed all the cheering they could get as they squeaked past the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies from Quebec.

It was a sell-out crowd at the Halifax Metro Centre Saturday night, and the Mooseheads needed all the cheering they could get as they squeaked past the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies from Quebec.

The final score was 6 - 4 and the win gives the Moose an early first game lead in the semi-final of the QMJHL tournament.

The Mooseheads are the only Maritime team left in the playoffs.

Game two of the series kicks off Sunday night and is expected to be a sell-out. Fans turned to Twitter to express their excitement.
