Search and rescue teams have found a 60-year-old Woodville, N.S., man who had gone missing from the Kings County area.

Search and rescue teams have found a 60-year-old Woodville, N.S., man who had gone missing from the Kings County area.

Thomas Kane, who was reported missing by his wife on Thursday morning, was found shortly before 7:30 p.m., said RCMP Sgt. John Anderson.

"He was actually located not too far from his residence on a government road, not a trail or anything of that nature," Anderson said.

"He was in good health."

Kane went for a walk on Wednesday and his wife reported him missing when he didn't return. RCMP said no one knew how he was dressed or in which direction he'd gone.

Officers used a police dog and a helicopter in the search and were assisted by members of Valley Search and Rescue.

Anderson said everyone was pleased the search was successful, since Kane had been missing overnight.
