Men sought on Canada-wide warrant in Spryfield shooting

Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for two men after a break-in and shooting at an apartment in Spryfield on Tuesday night.

Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant  for two men after a break-in and shooting at an apartment in Spryfield on Tuesday night.

The arrest warrant was issued for Christian Enang Clyke, 20, and Anthony Michael Leadley, 21. The pair faces a slew of charges including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, robbery, and break and enter.

Police said Clyke and Leadley are considered armed and dangerous. They're advising people not to approach the pair. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call police immediately.

Officers were called to Forbes Street at 10:12 p.m. after a man reported two men broke into his apartment. One had a handgun, said police.

The suspects chased the victim out of the apartment and at least two shots were fired before the suspects fled.

No one was injured.

Just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Halifax Regional Police officers spotted a vehicle associated with the suspects in the break-in.

As they followed the car, it went behind an apartment building on Windmill Road in Dartmouth and the driver fled on foot. He was not found.

Halifax Regional Police said the shooting was not random.
