Man stabbed in the back in Dartmouth home

A man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in a Dartmouth home on Thursday evening, according to police.

A man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in a Dartmouth home on Thursday evening, according to police.

Officers said the suspect went to the home on Victoria Road at about 6:15 p.m. and asked for the victim by name.

He was asked to leave, but when the victim turned to walk back upstairs the suspect allegedly stabbed him in the back.

The offender then fled the area.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Sciences Centre and treated for a small puncture wound.

Police said the victim and the suspect are known to each and other and this wasn’t a random act.

They continue to investigate.
