A 20-year-old man questioned after a shooting Sunday morning in Dartmouth has been released without charges, say Halifax Regional Police.

A 20-year-old man questioned after a shooting Sunday morning in Dartmouth has been released without charges, say Halifax Regional Police.

Police were called to Demetreous Lane where a crowd had gathered around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday.

The 19-year-old victim, who was lying on the sidewalk, was rushed to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Halifax Regional Police also seized a vehicle from the street close to where the man was shot.

The investigation continues.
