Man in custody after alleged roadside cocaine usage

A 34-year-old man from New Minas, N.S., faces charges after he allegedly drove off from police after snorting cocaine on the side of the road Sunday morning.

A 34-year-old man from New Minas, N.S., faces charges after he allegedly drove off from police after snorting cocaine on the side of the road Sunday morning.

RCMP said Mark Walter Harris faces 14 charges in all.

Police said they noticed two men using cocaine near Berwick around 10 a.m., before they drove off.

The passenger jumped from the car and was arrested, but the driver kept going.

Harris was later arrested at a gas station in Kingston.
