Halifax Regional Police say two people were stabbed during an argument in an apartment on Halifax’s Gottingen Street Monday night.

Police said three people were in the apartment when a man showed up.

That’s when the group started fighting, and police say that’s when the man – a 40-year-old – stabbed two of the people inside.

The suspect took off but was quickly picked up by the police. He’s in custody but no charges have been laid.

The victims – a 44-year-old man and 25-year-old woman – were taken to hospital. Police said their injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.
