Man faces attempted murder charge in Fairview stabbing

A 27-year-old Halifax man is facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing Thursday in the Fairview area.

The 52-year-old victim was taken to hospital, but he is expected to recover from his wounds.

The stabbing happened at 3 a.m. Thursday morning near the 100 block of Frederick Avenue in the neighbourhood of Fairview .

The accused has also been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.

He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
