A 67-year-old man died Sunday afternoon in Erinville, Guysborough County after the truck he was driving went off the road and plunged into a lake.

A young couple riding an ATV discovered the man's truck partially submerged in a lake off the Lower Glencoe Road, 15 kilometres west of Guysborough.

"The motorist that discovered the vehicle entered the lake and was able to pull a male occupant from the vehicle and he was determined to have no pulse," said RCMP Sgt. Terry Miller.
