Man dies 2 weeks after 6-metre fall near MacKay bridge

A man who was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after falling about six metres from a building near the MacKay bridge across Halifax harbour two weeks ago died Wednesday night in hospital, say police.

A man who was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after falling about six metres from a building near the MacKay bridge two weeks ago died Wednesday night in hospital, say police.

The man was helping to dismantle a bridge commission building in Dartmouth when he fell from a platform around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 30.

His name is not being released.  Police are not sure all of his relatives have been told.

The province's Department of Labour said it would investigate the fall.
