Man charged in Dartmouth stabbing

A 22-year-old man is facing a number of charges after a 27-year-old man was sent to hospital Sunday night after a stabbing.

A 22-year-old man is facing a number of charges after a 27-year-old man was sent to hospital Sunday night after a stabbing.

Police were called to an apartment in the 100-block of Albro Lake Road at 10:55 p.m. Sunday after reports of a stabbing. The 27-year-old was stabbed and several people at the apartment were assaulted by someone they knew.

The 27-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other victims were treated at the scene.

The suspect ran away before police arrived.

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested on Monday morning without incident at an apartment on Garshan Road in Dartmouth.

He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Tuesday to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation.
