A Halifax man was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting in Moncton on the weekend.

A 35-year-old Nova Scotia man was rushed to hospital after a bullet grazed his head early Saturday. He was treated and later released.

The shooting happened on Wesley Street in Moncton. RCMP in New Brunswick said it was not a random attack.

On Monday, RCMP in Nova Scotia said they were tipped off that a suspect was at a home in Tatamagouche. They arrested a 23-year-old man late in the afternoon.

The man will be taken to Moncton. There was no word on charges.
