Inverness County car crash kills driver in Askilton

Inverness District RCMP say a man is dead after his car got wedged under a trailer during a collision in Askilton, off Barberton Road.

Crash happened north of Port Hawkesbury, off Barberton Road

A man has died in Cape Breton after the car he was driving hit a large equipment trailer on the side of a road in Askilton, Inverness County. 

Inverness District RCMP said the man was the only person in the vehicle when it hit the trailer and became wedged underneath.

The accident took place at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday on a private road, off Barberton Road.

Police say a collision analyst is at the scene to assist with the investigation.
