Ingonish, Cape Breton stabbing seriously injures 3
Three men, 18, 19 and 20, were stabbed. All in serious condition
Three young men were seriously injured after stabbings near Ingonish, Cape Breton.
RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said the incident happened just before 2 a.m. on a small rural road off the Cabot Trail.
"There was a large party going on and several people that were [not] invited showed up. Now we’re just trying to piece together some sort of disturbance [that] took place where an 18, 19, and 20-year-old male were stabbed," he said.
MacRae said the victims did not know the suspects who fled the scene. He said the investigation into the matter continues.
"We have to try to figure out exactly who was at the party, then of course it will depend on the level of cooperation of people providing information to the police. With people injured, the victims in this case, the three men — that will take a little bit of time, but we’ll also try to speak to them," said MacRae.
All three victims remain in serious condition at Cape Breton Regional Hospital but one person was later transported to hospital in Halifax.
No arrests have been made.
