Human remains found at burned Cape Breton cottage
RCMP say human remains were found Thursday at a cottage in Cape Breton that had been destroyed by fire.
Richmond County RCMP say they received a complaint that workers who were scheduled to do work on a McNab's Cove cottage arrived at the property and discovered the cottage had burnt down.
After an investigation, police believe the structure fire occurred sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.
RCMP found the remains in the cottage and have sent them to the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner's Office in Halifax for identification and to determine the cause of death.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
