Attack seems random, police say

A Halifax man's house and car were shot up in what appears to have been a random attack this week.

The man on the 100-block of Flamingo Drive noticed his car tire was flat Sunday and thought it had been slashed. He later found a bullet in the front door of his house and bullet holes in some nearby planters.

He spoke to neighbours and found many had heard shots at 4 a.m. Sunday. The man went to police Tuesday evening, who confirmed that the tire had been pierced by a bullet.

Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP are investigating.

"No one was injured and at this time there is no indication why someone would target this residence," police said in a release.

The investigation is continuing.
