Highway 102 reopens after truck lost lumber load
Road was closed near the Lower Sackville/Bedford exit
All lanes of traffic on Highway 102 have reopened at the Lower Sackville and Bedford exit after a tractor-trailer hauling lumber lost its load.
RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said a vehicle travelling outbound on the highway hydroplaned and lost control on Wednesday morning, causing the tractor-trailer driver to swerve to avoid hitting the vehicle.
The truck then hit the highway divider which caused the truck to spill lumber onto the road and into ditches at Exits 4A and 4B.
Debris on the highway and the cleanup was expected to take several hours.
Inbound traffic was being diverted to Glendale Avenue and outbound traffic was being rerouted to the Bedford Highway.
