Police wouldn't elaborate about the search for clues, but said they expected to be there through the night and into Thursday.

The home sits a couple of hundred metres off the Hardwood Hill Road. Police have been stopping drivers in the area, checking driver's licences and asking where they are headed.

The search is connected to the Kirwan homicide investigation. The 19-year-old's body was found a short distance away from the home on a wooded road on Saturday.

Kirwan was last seen Oct. 9 leaving Dooly's pool hall in New Glasgow.

Police said they are treating the area like a major crime scene, but would not go as far to say if they believe Kirwan was killed there.
