Halifax police look for syringe-wielding robber
Halifax Regional Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a convenience store on Sunday night, armed with syringes.
The man entered the Needs convenience store on 33 Herring Cove Rd. and threatened the male employee with syringes and demanded money, said police.
The man fled the scene on foot, without any money.
No one was injured.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the scene at approximately 9:40 p.m. and searched for the suspect using a canine team, but he was not located.
The man is described as dark skinned, heavy set, approximately five feet eight inches tall and between 30 and 35 years old. He also had a full beard.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing and a dark baseball cap with white on the brim.
