Two people were struck by pellets from a BB gun Saturday afternoon at a busy Halifax intersection, police say.

A female was shot in the face and a male in the shoulder by an unknown person or persons at the corner of Quinpool Road and Oxford Street, Sgt. Paul Robertson said.

Both suffered minor injuries, he said, and did not require any treatment. The incident happened at 1:45 p.m.

Robertson said the woman believed the shots came from a passing vehicle, but could not say for certain. There is no description of the vehicle or suspects.
