Gunmen attack Halifax man at home

Two men armed with handguns attacked a man in a Halifax apartment Thursday night.

Two men armed with handguns attacked a man in a Halifax, N.S., apartment Thursday night.

Police said they were called to a break-and-enter on Adelaide Avenue in Fairview at 10:10 p.m. and learned men in their late teens had entered the apartment and struck the occupant on the head with a gun.

The pair kicked his bedroom door off the hinges and demanded money, police said.

Police said the robbers left when the man told them he didn't have any money.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said one robber is a white male, aged about 18, with a thin build, blue eyes and blond hair. He wore a balaclava over his face, a black coat, tuque and jeans.

The second robber is a black man, about 18, thin and about six feet tall. He was wearing a dark blue jacket with gray markings, black pants, a balaclava over his face and hoodie over his head.
