Girl arrested after Sydney stabbing
A 17-year-old girl faces charges following the alleged stabbing of a 19-year-old man, Cape Breton Regional Police say.
Police were called to a home in Sydney, N.S., on Tuesday where a woman told them she was concerned about her brother's health.
Officers then went to a home on Alexander Street and spoke with the man. He told them he had been in an altercation over the weekend and had been stabbed.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police say they later arrested the girl. She has since been released and will return to court at a later date to face charges including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
