Gas price surge to hit Nova Scotia
Prices expected to jump this week
CBC News is projecting an increase of 4.5 cents a litre in the price of gas in Nova Scotia when the regulated price is set at midnight on Thursday.
That means people in Halifax will be paying around $1.43 a litre on Friday morning.
Outside the city, prices will most likely be higher.
In New Brunswick, CBC News predicts the price of gas will go up by five cents a litre overnight on Wednesday. People in Fredericton started lining up for fuel Wednesday evening.
Gas prices are increasing across the country. On Tuesday night, gas went up 13 cents a litre in Montreal.
Diesel however, is expected to drop in price in Nova Scotia. It's expected to go down by two cents a litre on Friday to $1.32.
