Fire destroys Beaver Harbour home

Firefighters spent Wednesday afternoon battling flames at a Beaver Harbour home which continued to burn into the evening.

Firefighters spent Wednesday afternoon battling flames at a Beaver Harbour home which continued to burn into the evening.

Halifax Fire said they were called to Passage Road just before 2:30 p.m.

They said the two-storey house is a total loss. The roof collapsed, and the walls began to buckle late in the day.

No one was inside the house when the fire started.

Once the fire is extinguished, investigators will move in to determine the cause.

Beaver Harbour is located approximately 130 kilometres east of Halifax, just outside Sheet Harbour.
