Cyclist killed in crash with pickup truck in Kings County

Police don't expect to lay any charges after a 30-year-old man was killed after being hit by a truck Monday afternoon.

A cyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck Monday afternoon in the Kings County area of Nova Scotia, RCMP said.

The accident happened just before 3 p.m. on Ridge Road near Wolfville.

The 30-year-old Halifax man was cycling at the intersection of Ridge and Greenfield roads when he collided with the truck, police say.

He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. Police don't plan to charge the driver over the crash, but continue to investigate it. 

Police didn't release any more details of how the crash happened.
