Man, 38, dead after crash on Highway 103 near Bridgewater
Crash forced police to close highway in both directions between Exits 12 and 13
A 38-year-old man from Bridgewater is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 103 between Lunenburg and Bridgewater Thursday evening.
Nova Scotia RCMP say the crash happened just before 7 p.m. on the non-twinned highway between Exit 12 and Exit 13. Police say a 38-year-old man driving west crossed the centre line into the path of a tractor trailer heading east.
The man from Bridgewater died at the scene, say police. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Highway 103 was closed in both directions and traffic was being rerouted through Bridgewater.
The Department of Transportation tweeted shortly after 11 a.m. that the highway had reopened.
